Kitchens ~ Painted Cabinets On Pinterest
When it comes to revitalizing your kitchen, painting is extremely cost effective. If you’re not ready to take on a full kitchen remodel, painting your cabinets, walls, trim, or any combination of the three can give your kitchen an updated look at minimal cost. This can also be a good time to change out existing cabinet doors for new ones in a different style; add cabinet inserts and organizers ; and/or buy new handles and knobs.

Tired of your wood cabinets? Painting them is probably the easiest way to change the overall look without replacing or refacing them. Painted cabinets in a color other than a shade of white is probably the least common idea pinned. More common is the use of paint as an accent color (see the Mixed Finishes board). It's very taste specific and will likely have an adverse effect on resale value -though you can always paint them white when it comes time to sell.
I know several DIY bloggers who have painted their cabinets and had great results. Please remember everyone’s kitchens are different, and everyone’s cabinets are different. And what works for some, might not work for you. I personally do not think our kitchen cabinets would have been a DIY project after seeing what Adel went through to achieve this look. And I am so glad I went with the professionals on this project. It is a ton of work. A ton. And this has to look amazing. It can’t be one of those “okay” looking projects.
